The Penetanguishene Community Garden Project has evolved out of an expressed desire for expanded recreational opportunities and environmental education resources for community members.

The Community Garden Project is a collaborative effort between the Penetanguishene Horticulture Society and Town of Penetanguishene. It will also involve several community partners including local service clubs and institutions.

As well as providing allotment plots for those without access to garden space, the garden will be a focus for the whole community and will provide education regarding larger inter-connected environmental issues such as habitat biodiversity, organic gardening methods, water consumption, and household waste.
